What is "Girls Rock"???

PERSONAL, EDUCATIONAL & CULTURAL ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES 

Designed for inner city girls ages 12 to 18, Girls Rock offers self-esteem workshops, professional skills development, and assistance identifying personal and professional goals, while experiencing the world outside of urban communities.

ACTIVIES FOR GIRLS THAT ROCK! 

Our fun & exciting curriculum includes a variety of programs designed to assist young women in blossoming into the rock stars that they are destined to be. Activities include: 

(i) a five-week summer retreat

(ii) monthly seminars & training classes

(iii) counseling referrals

(iv) a community development initiative

(v) a mentoring program

(vi) cultural field trips

(vii) fundraising efforts

What kind of "Girls Rock"???  

Girls That Rock should meet the following requirements:

1. FEMALE 
2. LIVE IN LOW INCOME HOUSING OR SINGLE-PARENT HOMES
3. AT LEAST 12 YEARS OF AGE
4. HAVE ROOM FOR POSITIVE SELF- IMPROVEMENT 
5. WILLINGNESS TO COMMITT TO SELF EMPOWERMENT
